Born in the midst of the pandemic in Frutillar, less than 30 km from Puerto Varas, La Huacha is a project that emerged when Benjamín decided to unleash his family's passion for ice cream. Known among locals for his phrase "Let's make something that makes you fly," Benja has achieved precisely that: ice creams that transport those who try them to another dimension of flavor.
Using fresh milk from happy cows that graze freely at Fundo La Huacha, these artisanal ice creams have that unmistakable flavor that only comes from making things on a small scale with love. In his creative laboratory in Frutillar Alto, he transforms local ingredients into surprising creations, with a special fondness for the berries he harvests himself (though he can sometimes be seen chasing them around the fields with a stick!).
Their commitment to the environment is as serious as their unique personalities: biodegradable packaging, local ingredients, and responsible production that respects biodiversity. La Negra Ester, a regular customer, says these ice creams are so good they "make you want to put underwear on an airplane propeller."
A venture where every spoonful tells a local story and every flavor is a small adventure for the palate.
