Made using slow fermentation with our artisanal sourdough, which enhances the natural flavors of the cereal and improves its digestibility, distinguishing it from industrial breads by its authentic and artisanal character.

Born as a passion project in the midst of a crisis, Calú Panadería Artesanal represents the perseverance and dedication of Calú and Gonzalo, who transformed a dream into a tangible reality. What began in 2015 with bread delivered free of charge from a bicycle through the streets of Puerto Varas, has evolved into a leading artisan bakery in Frutillar.
In his ovens, Gonzalo bakes a variety of sourdough breads daily, following traditional methods he learned working in prestigious bakeries and perfecting through constant practice. Each product reflects his commitment to artisanal quality: slow fermentations that develop complex flavors, carefully selected ingredients, and gentle processes that respect the dough's natural rising times.
Today, from its location in Frutillar Alto, Calú not only offers exceptional breads such as ciabattas, focaccias and its emblematic wholemeal seed bread, but also serves as a platform to support small local entrepreneurs, keeping alive the spirit of community and perseverance that marked its beginnings.
