Manto Verde

Frutillar, Los Lagos Region

At Manto Verde, her home in Frutillar, Paula has built a lifestyle centered on nature and self-sufficiency. A psychologist by profession, a gardener at heart, and a beekeeper by passion, she found in the land a path of learning, connection, and purpose.

Her philosophy of life is inspired by the concept of the homestead, that space surrounding the home which, in her view, is as important as what's inside. For Paula, cultivating the land is not only a way to produce food, but an act of respect and commitment to the environment.

Manto Verde seeks to inspire others to rethink their relationship with consumption and nature, promoting a more conscious lifestyle. Their kombucha, Bruma, is an extension of this vision: a living beverage, rooted in the south, made with pure water and flavored with plants and fruits from its own ecosystem.

For Paula, working the land is a practice of humility and detachment. “Whatever you do, sometimes everything goes to hell because of a frost or because you left the hose on,” she says with a smile. But more than frustration, she has found in it a profound lesson: to live in the present and celebrate what the land offers.
