Chive Tie
Fresh chives grown by Sofía and her family in Río Pescado. Their slender, deep green stems and mild onion flavor add aromatic freshness to salads, soups, omelets, potatoes, creams, and any dish that needs that delicate finishing touch.
Grown with a focus on naturalness and respecting nature's cycles, this chive reflects La Ventolera's commitment to real food. Perfect for finely chopping and adding just before serving, preserving its characteristic flavor and aroma.

Huerta La Ventolera
Rio Pescado, Los Lagos Region
In Río Pescado, in the Los Lagos Region, Sofía and her family cultivate their land with a deep-seated passion: the need to feed their loved ones healthily. The project began in 2019 with a 400 m² garden and a mission that Sofía has shared since childhood with her grandmother, a mission now strengthened by her children, both of whom have food allergies.
It was they who made the final shift: their allergies led them to rethink the practices they applied to their crops and their daily eating habits. Undoubtedly, the children were the main motivation for cultivating their food while embracing a sense of naturalness, the cycles of nature, and the desire for deep healing.
Today, the project is strengthened with FIA's support, expanding to 960 m² with a clear objective: to be a hub for providing real food to the community of Puerto Varas, its neighbors, and the surrounding area. This initial idea is reinforced daily by the community and the wonderful energy of those who have helped them along the way, making them feel that this is the right path.
A family project that transcends vegetable farming: it's the story of how love for children and the desire to heal them can be transformed into nourishment for an entire community. La Ventolera demonstrates that when we cultivate from a genuine need to care for those we love, that care naturally extends to everyone.
